Forskning och litteratur om Finansförbundet
Avhandlingar
På Lunds Universitet, Ekonomisk Historiska institutionen, pågår forskning som använder sig av TAM-Arkivs material som källa. Tobias Karlsson har granskat sedvaneutredningen som genomfördes av Finansförbundet från år 1938 till 1943. Sedvaneutredningen syftade till att kartlägga både arbetsvillkoren och pensionsvillkor för bankanställda.
Kajsa Holmberg, också hon från Ekonomisk Historiska institutionen på Lunds Universitet, har i sin forskning belyst banksektorns feminisering och kvinnors karriär inom banksektorn under perioden 1865 till 1937. Hon har bland annat synat Finansförbundets tidskrift och hur debatten om kvinnornas arbetsvillkor fördes inom förbundet under 1900-talets första decennier fram till dess kvinnorna fick laglig rätt att behålla sitt arbete efter giftermål år 1937. En delstudie av hennes kommande avhandling finns publicerad i Historisk Tidskrift år 2010 (Holmberg, Kajsa. 2010: Då bankmannen blev kvinna. Det svenska bankväsendets feminisering 1910-1939. I Historisk tidskrift, nr 2, 2010)
Joakim Appelqvists avhandling från år 2005, Informationsteknik och organisatorisk förändring. Teknik, organisation och produktivitet inom svensk banksektor 1975-2003, (Lunds Studies in Economic History 36) granskar hur informationsteknikens förändrade karaktär påverkat organisation och arbetsinnehåll i den svenska banksektorn under 1900-talets slut och 2000-talets början. Appelqvist har bland annat använt sig av statestik från Finansförbundet.

Uppsatser
Från Historiska institutionen, Stockholms Universitet, finns en magisteruppsats av Lars Sköld från år 2004 som med hjälp av bland annat Finansförbundets protokoller och tidskrifter har beskrivit Finansförbundets utveckling mot en mer facklig verksamhet på 1930-talet i jämförelse med Kontoriströrelsen. Bergstrand, Finn. 2003. Daco 1931-1937. En svensk tjänstemannarörelse växer fram. Tjänstemän och historia. Skrifter utgivna av TAM-Arkivs forskningsråd nr 2. Bergstrand skildrar både framväxten av Daco med bland annat Viktor von Zeipel som pådrivande kraft, den bakomliggande kampen för lagen om förhandlingsrätten år 1936 och Dacos organisationsutveckling.
Edvardsson, Ingmar. 1994. Historien om bankfacket. Svenska Bankmannaförbundet 1887-1993. Stockholm (eget förlag). Författaren Ingemar Edvardsson var chefsredaktör på förbundets tidskrift under åren 1974 till 1991. Han beskriver i huvudsak förbundets utveckling under perioden från 75-årsjubileet år 1962 fram till 1990-talets början.
Palmqvist, Gunnar. 1962. Segrande samverkan. Historik till Svenska Bankmannaförbundets 75-årsjubileum. Falköping. SBmf-ombudsmannen Gunnar Palmqvist beskriver förbundets utveckling från start fram till 1960-talets början.
Schön, Lennart. 2001. En modern svensk historia. Tillväxt och omvandling under två sekel. Borås, SNS Förlag. Lennart Schön beskriver Sveriges omvandling från jordbruksland till industi- och tjänstesamhälle ur ett ekonomiskt och historiskt perspektiv. Här behandlas också bankernas roll och utveckling under 1800- och 1900-talen.

Finansförbundets historia
Finansförbundet organiserar anställda inom bank- och finanssektorn. Svenska Bankmannaföreningen, som skulle komma att bli Finansförbundet, bildades år 1887 i Stockholm för att tillvarata bankanställdas intressen och för att verka som en kamratklubb. Efter första världskriget, då banktjänstemännens reallöner sjunkit, ombildandes föreningen mot en mer facklig verksamhet. Först år 1936 fick föreningen förhandlingsrätt och år 1944, då föreningen bytt namn till Svenska Bankmannaförbundet, blev ett uttalat fackligt uppdrag inskrivet i stadgarna. Under 1900-talets senare hälft har frågor om arbetstiden, jämställdhet och arbetsmiljö drivits.

Med källorna till Finansförbundets historia
Under 1900-talets senare hälft har frågor om arbetstiden, jämställdhet och arbetsmiljö drivits. Från Svenska Bankmannaföreningen 1887 till Finansförbundet idag med 25 000 medlemmar inom bank och finanssektorn. Källorna till Finansförbundets historia finns hos TAM-Arkiv.
Finansförbundets historia
Finansförbundet organiserar anställda inom bank- och finanssektorn. Svenska Bankmannaföreningen, som skulle komma att bli Finansförbundet, bildades år 1887 i Stockholm för att tillvarata bankanställdas intressen och för att verka som en kamratklubb. Efter första världskriget, då banktjänstemännens reallöner sjunkit, ombildandes föreningen mot en mer facklig verksamhet. Först år 1936 fick föreningen förhandlingsrätt och år 1944, då föreningen bytt namn till Svenska Bankmannaförbundet, blev ett uttalat fackligt uppdrag inskrivet i stadgarna. Under 1900-talets senare hälft har frågor om arbetstiden, jämställdhet och arbetsmiljö drivits.
